Increase Your Speed Using the Heavy Bag
Speed drills are done similar to the power drills. The only difference is that instead of hitting the bag as hard as we can we want to try to hit the bag as fast as we can. This is done in to steps, the motion out and the motion in. The idea is to get your hand or leg out to the bag as fast as possible and then recover the strike as fast as possible. We do not want to hit the bag hard when doing this drill all we want to do is pop the bag almost like a bullwhip.
